4/15/2023 0 Comments Two worlds 2 moddingAll the missions are part of the same story, which is mostly forgettable, and are scaling in difficulty, which means you might have to do some of them multiple times to level up. You have to create a character (mage, warrior or ranger) and can level him up through some instanced missions (up to four players). There is also an online mode, which is what I bought the game for in the first place (to play with my gf). If I'm not mistaken, the developpers just released another expansion but I have no idea if it's any good. I could not get myself to play the first expansion (Pirate-themed) but I heard it was actually better written and a nice addition. There are some side activities such as horse racing, playing some instruments for money (about a small dozen instruments in total) but not that much. But you'll often get obliterated by some high level enemies without even knowing what happened. The open world is also a blast to explore with its savana theme and huge bestiary. Fighting with swords/axes/hammer or even a bow is also fun but I would advise spellcasting the most. However the main selling point of the game are its mechanics and you can have a lot of fun mixing with the spell cards, crafting spells that can range from casting huge bursts of hellfire to summoning about 15 Demon Knights to fight for you. I seem to remember some nice design for some missions of the solo campaign though. To be fair, I think that I haven't completed the game, but I'm not even sure. ![]() Most importantly, the dialogue is blatantly cheesy. From what I've played, the story is quite ridiculous and unoriginal (you're the good guy who has to save the world from evil Overlord, the only twist being that you start by siding with a band of orcs).
